Det är över nu.
I have many times wondered if I really was supposed to end up in Minnesota. There was a time when Texas really was the place to be, all the signs pointed towards Houston. But I had a feeling that told me it wasn’t right. And it wasn’t. My place was in Minnesota. In Edina with a family I will never forget. With friends that have come to mean so much for me. At a Starbucks with baristas so amazing. In a city with the most beautiful skyline I have ever seen. In a city that is home to so many people that I have come to love. I will sure miss you all. Thank you so, so much for making my au pair year the time of my life. I also want to thank all of my lovely readers of my blog. Thank you for supporting me and thank you for all your comments. The last couple of weeks I said goodbye to everything that has been my life the last year, and I only have one more thing to say goodbye to. This blog. It’s with sadness but also with relief that I for the first time in many years officially announce a blog break. Not forever, but for a while, so please come back sometime and see if I’m back in business. I will still be available on Facebook and Pixbox.
Once upon a time I said that all fairy tales in the United States of America end happily ever after. Did my story end happy? No, I left the country with pieces missing from my heart. One piece for every person I had to leave behind. But trust me, one day I will be back. Somehow. Until then, all I can say is: Det är över nu.
